Nook Book... Nook Book.....

Barnes & Noble just came out with a new Nook recently. It's the Nook color, this new Nook has books, magazines and newspapers all in color. This means you can enjoy books electronicly, just like you would actual book. I for one think this is genius. Since I read all the time, I am constantly trying to find new places to store my books because my book shelves are all full. I have books in my closet as well as, my laundry basket, my car, under my bed, in the kitchen and a couple on my bedside table. As you can see a Nook is the perfect solution because it can store all your books in one place. Ebooks are also cheaper than buying paperbacks or hardcovers. All you do is set up an account on B&N.com for your Nook and you can download books straight to your Nook in seconds. There is also free wifi when your in the store and you can check out many books and download them for free. I love the idea of a Nook, but I also feel that part of the fun of reading is going to the bookstore and picking out the book and flipping through the pages. However, I would really enjoy having my books all in the same place. I guess I could still buy the books I love in store and put the others on the Nook. Awesome huh?!
Go to your local Barnes & Noble to check it out!

The Sound of Sunshine

Music:

It's been a while since I last blogged, my apologies to those of you who read it. I've just been so busy with school and the holidays trying to get all my ducks in a row. I actually should be working on an english paper right now, but I cannot focus on that till I update you guys on the latest music.
So here you go:

Iron & Wine has a new EP out its called Walking Far From Home

Circa Survive also has a new EP called Appendage for those of you who are fans of Anthony Green this is good stuff.

Torgo! has a new cd too! It's called Choose Your Own Adventure. I love this album!

Kid Cudi has a new album called Man On the Moon Vol: 2. I saw him perform one of his songs on Conan lastnight and was in awe. My favorite song is Revofev. This whole album is amazing though. Deffinitly worth a listen.

Right Now on the Radio:
I'm obsessed with Katy Perry's song "Firework". Its a super uplifting song and it has a good beat. It will put you in a good mood for sure.

Also, Michael Franti's song "The Sound of Sunshine." I am a big fan of Michael Franti, but this is really the only song I like on his newest album also called The Sound of Sunshine. The album is much more mellow than his other stuff and alot less worldly. I feel it is more of a pop/mainstream album rather than something as unique as his other albums such as Rebel Rockers.

music, books & recycling products

Today has been very eventful. I had lunch at a quaint deli where I got some amazing tomato soup and kettle chips, then I went to a record store and picked up some classical music, so as to further my music studies. Thus, I endulged in art, classical music courtesy of Tchaikovsky, and good times with a great friend. We browsed @ Barnes & Noble looking at cultural studies books because Rainn Wilson aka Dwight Shrute on the office has a book and we just had to check it out. I must say it is awesome! We also found some cool magazines on interior design and home decor. One magazine in particular is called The Nest... maybe you have heard of it. It's a wonderful magazine full of tons of ideas. Two brilliant musicians Matt & Kim are on the cover of the fall 2010 issue so I just had to buy it. We also discussed a magazine called Interiors Sources, which my friend recieved from an interior decorator in our city. It has tips on going green and living more resourcefully. Thus, we all need to recycle. It is important for our environment and all the creatures of the world. Check your local newspaper or go online to see when the recycling days are in your city and make an effort to reuse materials.

Books & More

I recently spent 2 hours in Anthropologie today with my mom, and we could not get over how cute this store is. We had been in it several times before, but today they just had so much cute stuff. I love love loved all the home decorations nicknacks and cookbooks. The Hummingbird Bakery cookbook was one of my favorites. It is a cookbook that speacializes in deserts from cupcakes (my favorite) to cookies, cakes and brownies. My mom bought herself one of these cookbooks so I will deffinitly be using it soon. My favorite books in the store however, were Flea Market Style by Emily Chalmers and a book created by one of my favorite magazines called Domino. The book is called Domino The book of decorating. There is also a wide price range within the store, some items are more expensive than others, it just depends. They also have great sale items. I found a jewlery box for $20. I also found these adorable plates and cups for my kitchen, but I have not bought them yet. I'm hoping my mom or grandmother will give them to me for Christmas.

Movies

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World just came out on DVD.
Going The Distance comes out on DVD Nov. 30th. If you have not seen this movie it is a must see. It's so good, I saw it with a couple of friends. It's a romantic comedy with Drew Barrymore and Justin Long. I wish they would get back together in reality.
Morning Glory with Rachael McAdams is in theaters now, it opened last week. Also in theaters Megamind, an animated film with the voices of Brad Pitt and Tina Fey.
Due Date is also in theaters now, and it stars Zach Galifinakis.

Books, Books, Books!

I swear my computer home page should be Barnes&Noble.com. I love books and I am constantly ordering them or picking them out at the store. Right Now, I am reading Kissed By An Angel By: Elizabeth Chandler. It is a trilogy all in one book. It's one of the best books I have ever read. If you like romance mixed with some spiritual elements of angels and heaven you will love this book too. I read the first part of the book in one day and two days later I'm already half way through the third section of the book. I just love this book. Chandler also has two other books: Dark Secrets 1, and Dark Secrets 2. She also has another book called The Backdoor of Midnight that will be on shelves at bookstores on Nov. 16, 2010. The 2nd book to the Kissed By An Angel trilogy will be out on Mar. 8, 2010 it is called Evercrossed. I can't wait for these books to come out. Chandler is a great writer.

Other great books include: Priceless By: Nicole Richie, The Pretty Little Liars Series, The Gemma Doyle Series, Falling Is Like This By: Kate Rockland, & one of my most favorite books of all time, The House of Tomorrow By: Peter Bognanni
